Anne Oberman
Texas Christian University School for Classical and Contemporary Dance Anne Oberman, originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, is currently a student within Texas Christian University's School for Classical & Contemporary Dance, completing her BFA in ballet while simultaneously partaking in her first season with Avant Chamber Ballet as a trainee. She started her dance training competing in the local and national competition circuit. Later, Anne joined the Saint Louis Ballet School, where she was a part of their trainee program, allowing her opportunities to perform company corps de ballet roles in productions such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Giselle, Coppelia, and George Balanchine’s Who Cares? Her training has taken her across the country, including year-round training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and summer training at Alonzo King Lines Ballet, with the Radio City Rockettes, Ballet Met, and Complexions Contemporary Ballet to name a few. During her time at TCU, she has had the chance to work with numerous faculty and guest artists. Her most notable productions during her time at TCU has been the Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty and performing Joy Bollinger’s work A Four Cello Suite. At the moment, Anne is excited to be a part of Avant Chamber Ballet’s current season, performing both company and trainee roles in Katie Puder’s Dracula and Paul Mejia’s The Nutcracker. In addition to her dance experience, Anne is also completing her Pilates Certificate within TCU’s Pilates Teacher Training Program. Anne has found a great passion for Pilates, as she appreciates the feeling of accomplishment and empowerment that Pilates brings to both her dancing and daily life. She is excited to share her enthusiasm for Pilates and fitness with the Fort Worth community. Upon graduation, she is looking forward to continuing her professional dance career as well as continue to dive deeper into her love for Pilates. |
